Kara
US, UK and Spain University Specialist

Kara has been helping students find their best-fit university in the US, UK and Spain for over 25 years. Her vast experience enables her to find the best possible academic, social, and financial match for each student and family. Kara began her career in higher education as an Admissions Officer at Saint Louis University, Madrid Campus. Before becoming an IEC (Independent Educational Consultant), she supported Fulbright grantees in applying for funding and finding graduate school programs. She also served as the U.S. Department of State’s EducationUSA network Adviser in Spain where she promoted U.S. higher education opportunities to students and provided recruiting and internationalization services to U.S. colleges and universities. Kara was the first consultant in Spain to become a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, where she currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Global Committee. She has also served on the Advocacy and Outreach Committee at International ACAC and is a UCAS Centre.  Kara has a BA in History and French and a Master’s in French from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is the mother of two boys, a Senior at university in the United States and a Senior in high school currently applying to universities in the U.S., the UK and Europe.
